Hello World — shinBlog Is Live
Hey there, welcome to my blog!
I'm Shin, a master's student (soon to be) at Keio University's Graduate School of Science and Technology, majoring in Computer Science. I started building this personal blog in January 2025, and after about a month of development, it's finally ready to see the world.
Why Start a Blog?
I've always wanted a space of my own — not the fragmented posts on social media, but somewhere I can actually sit down and write properly. Here's what you'll find:
- Dev notes — Full-stack web dev, AI stuff, lessons learned the hard way
- Research journal — Academic explorations once grad school kicks in
- Life & thoughts — Travel stories, late-night musings, random reflections
About This Project
shinBlog is built with Next.js 15 + React 19 + TypeScript + Tailwind CSS, backed by Prisma + PostgreSQL. It supports three languages (English, Japanese, Chinese), dark mode, a command palette, a guestbook, and even an AI assistant called Kokoron powered by RAG.
I chose this tech stack partly to deepen my understanding of modern web development, and partly to build something practical I can keep improving.
What's Next
In the coming months, I'll be officially starting my research at Keio, focusing on software engineering. The blog will grow along the way.
If you're into tech, research, or just want to chat — feel free to reach out via email or find me on GitHub.
Let's get this started.
